Rome is the capital of Italy and is built on seven hills. The River Tiber flows through it. It has many famous buildings from the ancient Roman Empire, such as the Forum and Coliseum. Millions of tourists visit the city each year and also like to admire: St Peter's Basilica, the Spanish Steps and its beautiful parks. Tradition says that if a visitor throws a coin into the Trevi Fountain then they will return to Rome in the future. An estimated 3,000 euros are thrown in each day. |
